President's Cup

This was our final competition of the 2023 season. Worthy winners (by a single point apparently) were Olwyn Harrison, George Daniels & Barbara Tickner. Stuff the trophy, looks like the ladies are more pleased with the chocolate.

Coronation Cup Final

A team from United Bowling Club reached the final of this season's Corontaion Cup competition. Unfortunately they came up against a very strong team from Middlesbrough Bowling Club who were the worthy winners.

Ropner Ladies Founder's Day

CTBL Club Rinks Tournament

The team from Rooks Bowling Club progressed easily through the initial 'round-robin' stage to reach the final of the Cleveland & Teesside Bowls League's Club Rinks Tournament. Unfortunately the other finalists from Stockton Bowling Club proved too strong for them. Pictured above with their finalists trophy are (from left - Alan Harrison, Ken Brown, Dennis Henderson & Jeff Ravenhall).

Coronation Cup Final

Stockton United's Saturday team have progressed to the final of the CTBL Coronation Cup after an impressive away victory at Elm Tree Bowling Club. they will face a team from Middlesbrough Bowling Club in the final, which will be held at Thornaby Bowling Club on Saturday 26th August. Spectators are welcome, why not come along and support them? The match commences at 1:30pm.

Bernie Mullen Trophy

A new trophy at Ropner Park, open to all members of Rooks & United, this competition was held on Saturday 15th July. The weather may not have been kind, but the day was brightened by the pie & pea lunch followed by fruit crumble and custard, which went down exceedingly well.

Our very first winners were Anthony Hodgson & Mike Ranson, who pipped Alan Harrison & Simon Poole on the last end in the final.

S.G. Petch Open Triples Competition

Eighteen teams competed for this year's S.G. Petch Open Triples Competition. The closely fought final went down to the very last end. This years champions were Carl Higgins, Bryan Henderson (Snr.) & Bryan Henderson (Jnr.) from Hartlepool Old Boys, with Paul Gorton, George Thompson & Paul Hartley from Blackhall Bowling Club, the other finalists.

Friendly @ Richmond Bowling Club

Sadly the annual Friendly match against Richmond Bowling Club had to be cancelled because of bad weather. However, we will now look forward to the match next season.

John Hodgson Open Pairs Competition

We had glorious sunshine for this year's competition. After a long day's bowling the competition was won by Jeff Summerhill & Mark Ralphs, with John & Inga Gillespie being their opponents in the final. A big thank you to all of our entrants and of course to all those who helped out behind the scenes.
