Club Competitions
Listed below are the competitions that the Ropner Park Bowling Association and its members clubs provide during the bowling season.
Ropner Park Bowling Association
FUN DAYS - Open to everyone, mildly competitive but with the emphasis on having a great time bowling. Usually followed by a finger buffet and prize giving.
2023 DATES - 25 April, 16 May, 20 June, 18 July, 15 August (Tuesday @ 1:00pm)
FRIENDLY MATCHES - all bowling association members welcome to take part
2023 Dates - 25 June (Away) Darlington Woodland, 23 July (Away) Richmond, 6 August (Home) Sleights. See notice boards for more details.
KNOCKOUT COMPETITIONS
Champions Cup - Singles - 4 wood - 11 ends - played throughout the season.
Memorial Shield - Australian Pairs - 11 ends - played throughout the season.
Ropner Park Bowling Club
You must be a current member of Ropner Park Bowling Club to enter their competitions.
ONE DAY COMPETITIONS
Sunday 14 May - Jim McHugh Trophy - Singles
Sunday 28 May - Secretary's Shield - Pairs
Sunday 2 July - Stuart Waites Salver - Triples
Saturday 15 July - Ray Ross Trophy - Singles - Saturday team members only
DATE T.B.C. - Richardson Cup - Team event - Wednesday v. Thursday evening teams, usually followed by Pie & Peas.

KNOCKOUT COMPETITIONS
Wilf Marsh Trophy - Singles - 2 wood - 15 shots up (21 shots up in the Final)
Ralph Walker Trophy - Singles - 2 wood - 21 shots up
Best of three Trophy - Singles - 2 wood - best of 3 sets, each set 11 ends
John Gill Trophy - Singles - 4 wood - 21 ends
E.B.F. Qualifier Trophy - Singles - 2 wood - 21 shots up - the winner may represent Ropner Park Bowling Club in the Cleveland County Champion of Champions competition.
Stockton Rooks Bowling Club
You must be a member of Rooks to enter the A.E. Sudlow Cup & the George Fleming Pairs
KNOCKOUT COMPETITIONS
A.E. Sudlow Cup - Singles - 2 wood - 21 shots up
Members of Stockton Rooks may also enter the following knockout competition;
The George Fleming Pairs - Australian Pairs - 11 ends
Both of the above competitions are played throughout the season.
Stockton United Bowling Club
You must be a member of United bowling club to enter the Championship Trophy & the George Fleming Pairs
KNOCKOUT COMPETITIONS
Championship Trophy - Singles - 4 woods -15 ends
