George Daniels Memorial Trophy
Our annual competition in memory of our late Chairman, George Daniels, was held on 21st June. The trophy was presented by George's sister, Wilma, to the winners (l to r) Terry Pascoe, Pippa Molloy and Malcolm Gardiner.
School Taster Session
On Tuesday, 14th July, we organised a "Taster Session" for pupils from the Grangefield Academy in Stockton. It was a first introduction to the sport of lawn bowling for most and was thoroughly enjoyed by all involved. We hope this will encourage some of the youngsters to want to become more involved and take up the game as all bowling clubs need younger players to ensure the future of the game. Pictured above are most of the pupils and members of staff who accompanied them.
Friendlies
On Sunday, 19th July, we hosted a friendly match with our friends and colleagues from Woodlands BC, Darlington. On a beautiful sunny afternoon we all had a most enjoyable game followed by tea and a raffle. The above picture was taken after the proceedings.
